HOST A CAREKIT™ ACTIVITY

Are you looking for a community focussed team building exercise or project for your company, class or club to take part in?

CleanConscience can assist with this and at the same time you can assist CleanConscience with raising much needed funds.

ABOUT THE  CAREKIT™ PROJECT

  • Like any other charity we need to raise funds, and although we will be charging a Programme Fee to the hotels wishing to participate in our hotel soap and toiletry recycling initiative, we have many outgoings that need to be covered
  • A company providing cabin services to the hospitality sector had a client that decided to rebrand and a large volume of first class comfort kits and hand towels became redundant, so they were donated to CleanConscience to assist in our own fundraising and awareness campaigns
  • The first class comfort kits already contain the following items:
    • Toiletry bag
    • Small soap bar
    • Pen
    • Face Cloth
    • Razor & shaving cream
    • Hand & body lotion
    • Socks
    • Toothbrush & paste
    • Earplugs
  • Extras to be added {all or a selection of these}*:
    • 1 x Travel Size Body Wash
    • 1 x Travel Size Shampoo
    • 1 x Travel Size Conditioner
    • 1 x Travel Size Body Lotion
    • 1 x Travel Size Soap

* provided by us and packed by you

HOW DOES THE CAREKIT™ PROJECT WORK?

  • Decide on a date and location for your event; determine how many toiletry bags your team would like to build, and select a beneficiary organisation to receive the CareKit™ toiletry bags.
  • Send e-mails, put up flyers, and talk about your CareKit™ event in the classroom, at team meetings or club meet-ups; get the group excited about volunteering.
  • Assemble the CareKit™ toiletry bags, pack them in boxes, and then provide the gift of comfort and hygiene to a local homeless shelter or humanitarian aid group.
  • Remember to take photos!

WHO CAN DO IT

Assembling the CareKit toiletry bags is appropriate for children as well as adults. Volunteers must be at least 8 years old. Children ages 8 through 15 require supervision by a parent or guardian.
