We recognise that our operations have an effect on the local, regional, and global environment and we are committed to achieving the highest standards of environmental performance, preventing pollution, and minimising the impact of our operations. We are committed to reducing our impact on the environment by reducing landfill and replacing high-energy equipment with more efficient models.

When considering the Programme Fee, remember to take into account the resulting cost saving on your waste removal – at least 50% of the fee payable.

Add to this the PR opportunities of informing your guests, and other stakeholders, about your environmentally sustainable and socially responsible initiative, as well as the subsequent charitable outcome for the humanitarian causes you will be supporting, and I think you will agree that there is significantly more to this project than the ‘cost’ factor.

Brown’s Hotel, Mayfair

We are pleased to be working with CleanConscience, the first and only company in the UK who collect the partially used or damaged soap and bottled toiletries every month to recover them for future use. The turnkey solution works well, and we have 8 green recycling crates full of discarded product collected monthly. Brown’s Hotel is very proud to be the front runners in this sustainability project.

The Ritz London

The Ritz London was recently awarded Gold by Green Tourism in recognition of our commitment to sustainable hospitality. Our partnership with CleanConscience has enabled us to recycle all party used guest soap and toiletries from The Ritz London, which otherwise would go to landfill. With the assistance of mainly disabled volunteers they then reprocess the soap and toiletries and donate it to charities in the UK and humanitarian aid agencies working in third world countries for them to distribute to people in need.

In the first month of introducing this scheme at The Ritz London our Housekeeping team led by Adriana Milea embraced the project and managed to fill 14 crates; it is straightforward. Gwen and the professional team from CleanConscience understand in detail the demands of hotel operations and make it very easy for hoteliers to recycle  soap and toiletries in a hygienic and professional manner with complete transparency.

The Dorchester

The Dorchester encourages and supports its employees to suggest innovative ideas for continuous improvement. Consequently, I was confident in introducing the concept of CleanConscience to my managers, supervisors, and co-workers. Each member of The Dorchester Graduate Programme has the opportunity to see how various departments operate and are encouraged to raise ideas for improvement. By coincidence, I came across the CleanConscience website and was taken by the idea of converting used soaps and toiletries into a meaningful, sustainable product that will help people in need as well as protect the environment. Throughout the process, The Dorchester has been very supportive and it has been a pleasure working with Gwen.

The Cavendish London

We at The Cavendish London are proud to be part of such a forward-thinking, charitable initiative, which we believe will have a positive impact on how the hospitality industry gives back. This great initiative represents a new commitment to our environmental and sustainability goals, as well as continued dedication to ensuring team engagement and understanding of CSR.

The Capital and The Levin Hotels, Knightsbridge

We just loved the proposition and energy behind CleanConscience.  As a family run 5 star hotel that prides itself on being very much part of the neighbourhood we are delighted to not only reduce needless waste but also indirectly support employment opportunities & the improvement in well-being to disadvantaged communities.  The staff at the Capital are very much behind the goals that CleanConscience have set out and it simply makes sense to join them in this venture.
